Why choose a postgraduate course at the LSJ?
Look at the syllabus
of the postgraduate course you wish to take, and compare it with
the syllabus of a similar course from another provider.
(some providers may not publish a full syllabus for you to look
at)
Look at the list of our tutors and lecturers. Compare their ability
with that of the staff who will be teaching you on any other postgraduate
course.
(some providers may not be prepared to say who will be teaching
you)
Your personal tutor provides you with specific and detailed support
throughout your time with us - many of our students say this aspect
is one of the most important parts of the whole course.
Consider the advantages of training in the centre of
London - which is still the place where the majority of potential
employers are based. Look here for a view of the area you will be working in.
All our postgraduate courses are well-established and provide the necessary skills required by the profession. We will show you how to be a journalist, rather than teach you about journalism.
Our course is a practical experience and not just further education...
You will receive the benefit of our very practical training - you
will think, act and write like a journalist - not just talk about
being one.
If you know someone who has taken a course at the LSJ, speak to
them. Or talk to someone working in the industry.
We have been training journalists for longer than
anyone else. We have over 80 years' experience - and it shows.
